Looks nice! I like the round in the border. A few of your ribbon connections don't join up properly. It's a nice simple island map! Very useful.

Another border experiment... I'm pretty unsure which concept (both are not finished of course) I do like better, so opinions are welcome

That one's definitely better. You can use the round as a compass centerpiece.
