Wip July/Aug '20 Lite Challenge: Mikīyo

    Hey, guys!

I'm going for a vintage-ish map of a small island called Mikīyo. My inspiration comes from a 1930 map of Morocco, although my map won't look exactly like it. Let's see how this goes

Welcome to the Challenge SkryNRiv! Great start. The mountains are very realistic looking.

That map of Morocco is awesome, and I like your first draft. Good luck!

Looking good so far. Do hope you get a chance to do more with this. Think there is some solid potential here.

    Thanks, Greason! Much appreciated!

And I'm so sorry for your loss... My sincere condolences in this rough time

I'm sorry for the lack of updates these days, but when I get to the labelling part, I want the text to look unfamiliar. Sometimes I spend a lot of time thinking about the conlang (or samples of it) that will feature in my map, and that's what has happened the last few days Honestly, I don't think it looks good, but eh... I'll stick with it.

Just a few more labels, nothing important. Also, I'm considering removing minor tributary rivers. Maybe I'll do it tomorrow.

Nice topography! I like how that sense of texture came out.

Thank you, Tiana! In the end, I wasn't so sure about the topography, so decided to change it a little bit. This is supposed to be a small island, and the large number of hilly chunks didn't really made sense. The topography in my next update in a few hours will be, I think, a little bit nicer.
