February 2022 Challenge: College of Stormheart

Hi,

Okay, so I was going to leave the mountains until I could figure it out. But, inspiration hit earlier than expected. I used a few lighter and darker colors with brush with some nice texture to paint some detail into them. Let me know what you think.

Also, there be low hanging clouds now.

Hiya!

Okay, I got to adding most of what was represented on the old maps. Like the small ruins close to the town. Which on very special circumstances becomes a way gate to a tower in the mountains. Then, there is a cave that opened after a rocks broke off from the side of the mountain. And for the keen eyed, a rock slab obscuring a hidden entrance into the mountain.

Anyway, stuff like that. I'm still pondering about what else would be could for an adventuring party to discover. The more options the better. DM's/GM's wish to request something?

Okay two things, one I started the domestic and wild creatures for the map.

Two, I wish to ask what you all think about the direction I'm going for the icons? I wanted to keep them in theme with the map, but also needing them to stand out JUST a little bit, not too much.

I like the scrolls, the markers are a bit hard to read, probably because the map is dark, so them being dark makes them blend in a bit in most places. The idea is cool though, they're just camouflaged. I think if you could match the perceived value with the scrolls, they'd be more visible. And adding a bit of a soft shadow under the bottom rings would look cool.

Heya!

I am winding down with this map, I think. I'm still thinking about if anything should be added or tweaked. Any thoughts?

Thankfully, I managed to create icons that fitted the map. Obviously, it's the more mundane things that is the hardest to name What else can you name a Barn? Hehe.

Anyway, if you all think of anything that still needs some attention, let me know.
