Very nice map! I really like the way you drew the deserts!

For the forests, I have no other advice than to scan the "finished maps" section and find a type of forest you like... and be inspired ?

Gorgeous map! The style and immense scale is magnificent. I'm in love with the mountains, they're beautifully done.

I love the shape of the continent but the mountains should be wider maybe and more range in height

Awesome thread. Keep it up! I also like the original mountains more, and thought the first pass at forests was really good. I love the shape of the spun landmass. I do like the bolder colors of the later versions, fwiw

@ThomasR I'll give that one a try, thanks.

@-JO- Thank you i'll look at them and see if I can find anything that strikes my fancy

@Josiah VE Thank you very much, I got heavy inspiration from the deserts from RedEpic

@CreativeTides Why do you think they should be wider? It's depicting a continental scale, and I personally think that it would make it look more region like if they were smaller. Regardless, thank you and i'll see what it looks like with different varying heights!

@Atomikdog Maybe I will experiment with those forests more, see what I come up with.
Thanks for all the great replies and answers!

It has been a while, and i'm still stumped on the same thing that I have been stumped on for the last half year.
What do you guys think of these forests / tree styles?

I tried some other ones, but these two are the best imo.

I actually really love the individual tree version, AND it goes much better with your mountains than the green blobby.

I absolutely agree with Diamond's comment.
