It's looking wonderful Voolf! Don't be too hard on yourself.
Hmm, but I do agree with Mouse that it almost somehow looks semi-ISO. It's very interesting.
    Really, Voolf, it's already fantastic.

    Thanks for cheering words.
Hmm, its based on top google images, it suppose to be top view. What do you mean by semi-iso ?

Well.... its kind of hard to explain, but maybe its the way that the general lay of the shading coming out from the ridge lines is trending downwards, rather than outwards.

Don't forget that google maps can give you an oblique view of the land just as easily as a top down one if you zoom in at an angle

I love them done this way. They're brilliant

The problem is. It is a very large scale. Comparing to other maps it will look like its either out of scale, or it's more like hills than the mountains. On the other hand, every single map in world is in different style and scale, so maybe it's ok if i do it this way? Should i be worried about the scale so much or not ?

It looks really natural, Voolf - beautiful - like a real continent

Please do continue. It would be the most terrible shame to change it.

Wow, that's looking really good. I love the subtlety of the mountains.

Is the sea finished? It would look really good if it went from lighter around the coast to darker further from land. Maybe you've already planned to do that, though.

Anyway, keep up the amazing work. It looks great!

I am glad you like it. I think this is the best i could do so far (considering what i was aiming for).

Its not, just a flat colour on a texture. I barely started with the land "terraforming" . Doing sea and lakes is always last during my mapping process.

The mountains are almost done, I have to add some hightlights to most of them (just lower part is finished).
I add the shade on the mainland i dont bother myself with the islands yet. Next i want to add more distincive land elevation here and there (but not mountains).
