Thread: Edrom

    Default Edrom

Here comes a commissioned map I had the pleasure to create for Prisma RPG.

It features the world of Edrom and its many regions ( or prisms ) displayed in the style of a polyconic projection.

Made with Photoshop and Corel Painter. 4950 x 3510 px, 300 dpi.

Woah that's really neat. The geometrical symmetry is oh so pleasing to look at, you really nailed this one for your commissioner! Well done.

Those colors are delightful - very jewel or stained-glass window feel. Really lovely.

    That's really cool, Marc
    And certainly an unusual projection.

Thank you so much, everyone !

For the choice of this unusual projection, all credit goes to my client. It was a very refreshing approach to fantasy maps and I'm glad you enjoy the result.

A very nice use of an unusual projection! You also manage to give it some nice details for a world map.
And as per usual, what a mastery with colours and shading!

    Thank you, Ilanthar !

The color was an interesting challenge while working on this map. I tried to find the good balance between the colorful shades of a prism and the feel of an old map.
