Great work! And you're skilled with colors. Love that oasis map.

    Thank you so much, Ilanthar!

It's getting quite stressful in the end. Here are the maps of the last two days:

Saturday's prompt was "altar" and I drew a map of the Oracle of Wallona, another place in my fantasy world. There's a temple at the bank of the river and a sacrificial altar on a small island in the middle of the river. In the past this was a heavily visited place, but now the Oracle has been silent for some years. Nevertheless there are still a few people coming to this place and hoping to get answers.

For yesterday's prompt "escape" I decided to draw a map for my children's novel "Frostpfade" (which means frosty/frozen paths). It takes place in the cold north of my fantasy world and tells the story of the nomad girl Linn, who finds herself in the middle of a conflict between two tribes. She has to flee into the wilderness and experiences many adventures on her journey.
This map was a bit too ambitious for mapvember - I've never drawn such illustrations or top down mountains in this style. It took me quite a while, which is the reason why I'm a bit behind right now.

Thanks, Misjay! This was an important reminder for me as well.

Here are the last two maps:

    An autumnal map for "drop":

And a wintery map for the last prompt "bay". I wanted to include a lot more names and places, but there wasn't enough time:

Now this was an amazing experience and I'm astonished (and proud) that I managed to do 30 maps and stick to the prompts. I learned a lot this month - amongst other things that I really enjoy working with watercolours. It also helped me dealing with my perfectionism, but now I'm relieved that November is over. This was very time-consuming and on some days I really had to force myself to work on the map.

Thank you all for your kind comments and for cheering me on!

Great job! Amazing. 30 maps in 30 days. And good maps at that.

Great, beautiful maps indeed! I like how you rendered the top-down mountains in Linn's Escape and the waterfalls in the drop map.

Great job with the Mapvember Neyasha. Very nice set of maps!
It is really a challenge to keep up with the maps every day.
I participated a few years back and as fun as it was, it was also a bit taxing some days.
I don't think i want to do it again anytime soon

Thanks! I'm still struggling with top-down mountains though.

Greetings back and thanks so much for your kind words!
Maps were always my core of worldbuilding, but I think the last maps I've shown in the Weltenbastlerforum were poorly drawn Gimp-maps.

Understandable! I could imagine participating again, but only with more planning beforehand. On some days I spent one hour or more only searching for ideas, which was exhausting and time-consuming.
