Having just binged Stranger Things, I like very much!! You do have kind of a funny typo: in several places you've got 'riff' instead of 'rift'. I'm picturing the scientists and the monster riffing a movie MST3K style.

My thoughts for a hive went to a super secret underground base. This base, Point Mesa, has contained an unspeakable horror that has breached our dimensional plane and threatens total annihilation.
A not too often used plotbut I thought I'd have some fun with it. Hope ya like.

That is so cool. When I enlarged it and saw all the little people, a big grin crawled across my face. Makes me want to go play with toy soldiers!
