Post How to get “in touch” with your world

    Here is an idea:
    - Create a gray-scale height map
    - Create a 3D object, extruding by gray-scale
    - Warp into a globe
    - Print with a 3D printer
    - Insert LED light

I must say, it is a lot simpler to envision and find problems when you can physically hold your world

I thought that was a doorknob, but no, it's way cooler than a doorknob.

If you want the blasé way of doing things though there are programs that let you manipulate the textures directly on a 3D object. Which would give you ready access to see the problems and fix them without the trouble of 3d printing.
