August/September Challenge: Limited Warfare

When you have no talent, you steal some.
Arrangement of Mike Schley's symbols from collections by ProFantasy and done in ProFantasy's CC3+ with resizing in Photoshop because I messed up the sizing on the first export.
It's more an illustration than a map, but good enough!

I really wanted that second picture to be a big crater, but I couldn't find one that was of comparable quality to the other stuff at a reasonable scale. I had considered going with a three-panel format with the town in the first one, the tower added to the town in the middle, and the final frame as shown, but that seemed a little less ambiguous than the two-panel option. Plus, you can choose to read this from right to left as "benevolent tower sacrifices itself to rebuild town" instead of left to right as "oppressive regime destroys thriving community".
