Default The ancient city of Pahuax - Warhammer Fantasy

    Hi,

Something different this time. A little bit "noneuropean" compared to previous maps I did. The ancient city of Pahuax. Home of the lizardmen species on Lustria continent.
Handdrawn with fineliners and coloredpencils. Finished in GIMP.

I have been lusting after Lustria for quite a while, so seeing your map is a special treat! Thanks for sharing.

Very nice. The ancient American feel of this city is great and it does feel distinctly like a lizardman city from the decorations as well.

I love the layout of this! I like how the city looks fairly open and the temple regions especially have a lot of open air surrounding them.

It might be just me, but I think the border's dark colour gives me a bit more of sci-fi vibe than fantasy. When I saw it my brain jumped to metal first and stone only second, I maybe would have gone for a slightly ligther tone? But I also know next to nothing about Warhammer so I have no clue if the sci-fi vibe is actually what you were going for, so feel free to ignore me here

Not a huge issue, and the map itself is great! I like how you've drawn the buildings with the neatly varying line width.

My intention was to make it look like a stone/wall, because the whole thing about lizardmen is about huge sometimes unrealistic creations made of stone. Maybe with some texture it would be better

I love this so much! The detail is incredible, and the building designs are awesome -- I really love the pyramids.
