    Map Village of Terra Firma

    Interesting curved effect on the roof slope (it looks like the slope generally gets less as it gets closer to the peak, but that may be a resolution problem for my old eyes). Are the roofs done with a distance field bevel on the outline and an exponential adjustment on the distance?

    What tools did you use to do this?

    This was 100% done in Gimp. The method I used for the roofs is an angular shaped gradient to create a heightmap. Then I used RobA's thatch script to wrap the roof textures (a nice shortcut).

    Ah, the thatching script explains the texture alignment and that alignment is probably tricking my eye about the slope. Good work overall, despite my bad vision seeing things that aren't there.

    Thanks! I'm not sure I see the slope issue, but could be.
