Default Mountain stream and waterfall ( hand-drawn, vector finished)

I decided to do a scenic mountain stream and waterfall map combining a hand-drawing with beveled shaped shapes, color and shading finished in Xara Photo & Graphic Designer 9 (my preferred vector drawing application).

Step One: a hand-drawing of micropoint pen onto a letter size sheet of paper.

Step Two: created the land below the falls (at least the dry parts).

Step Three: applied a rounded bevel, drop shadow and a very slight edge feather.

Step Four: created the upper lands at the cliff's edge that the waterfall drops over.

Step Five: created the upper level (dry parts).

Step Six: moved beneath the hand-drawn layer.

Step Seven, applied a bevel and drop shadow.

Step Eight: created the land between the falls.

Finished the map. Same steps for the land parts, were done with the ground beneath the waters, the waterfall itself, followed by layers of transparent blue stacks to depict depth in water. Foam in white with a drop shadow on the lower elevations. Done.

Very nice, Gamerprinter! I think the contrast between the froth and the water is a little high, but other than that, I think this turned out very well.
