Welcome!
The Cartographers’ Guild is a forum created by and for map makers and aficionados, a place where every aspect of cartography can be admired, examined, learned, and discussed. Our membership consists of professional designers and artists, hobbyists, and amateurs—all are welcome to join and participate in the quest for cartographic skill and knowledge.
Although we specialize in maps of fictional realms, as commonly used in both novels and games (both tabletop and role-playing), many Guild members are also proficient in historical and contemporary maps. Likewise, we specialize in computer-assisted cartography (such as with GIMP, Adobe apps, Campaign Cartographer, Dundjinni, etc.), although many members here also have interest in maps drafted by hand.

The World of Fairy Tales - Commission
A commissioned piece for author K.M. Shea to make a map of the fictional continent in her 'Timeless Fairy Tales' series. You can visit her website to check out more about the series. 'Chaos has descended upon the world. The beast is cursed, Sleeping Beauty has fallen asleep, Snow White is forced to flee from her wicked step-mother, and Cinderella toils in her family home. Timeless Fairy Tales is a series that explores individual, stand-alone fairy tale books, and uses each story to reveal the greater conflict that consumes the world of fairy tales.' Reference from K.M. Shea: Daniël Hasenbos is a delight to work with. He's fast, professional, and good at what he does. Furthermore, he has the rare ability to balance creativity and realistic detail. He tweaked my world map into exactly what I was looking for, but he also has an amazing amount of creativity so when I didn't know what to do about certain map details, he stepped in and filled in the gaps. He made a magnificent map that will not only serve as a great reference for my readers, but it is also beautiful enough to be a piece of art on its own. I highly recommend Daniël. His maps are amazing, and I hope to work with him again in the future.
Very Nice!
