Welcome!
The Cartographers’ Guild is a forum created by and for map makers and aficionados, a place where every aspect of cartography can be admired, examined, learned, and discussed. Our membership consists of professional designers and artists, hobbyists, and amateurs—all are welcome to join and participate in the quest for cartographic skill and knowledge.
Although we specialize in maps of fictional realms, as commonly used in both novels and games (both tabletop and role-playing), many Guild members are also proficient in historical and contemporary maps. Likewise, we specialize in computer-assisted cartography (such as with GIMP, Adobe apps, Campaign Cartographer, Dundjinni, etc.), although many members here also have interest in maps drafted by hand.

The Glyphs of Kaylaric - November 2017 "Survive", option 2.
i like the wood background and the stones holding the map scroll open.
Thank you Jay The stones are isolated from photographs I took myself on a local beach. They were originally intended to make a seamless texture to print on glass tiles for a bathroom floor design I had in mind, but I lost the house so it never happened. They come in handy now and then The scroll is done in a very similar way to the way I describe it being done in the tutorial on the PF blog if you are interested. I did a series of 3 about making parchment and ended up with a scroll tutorial.
I believe I used one of your parchments in the Tarkas map before I got rid of the scroll. I know I have used some of them as texture layers in SketchBook and PS.
They are for whatever you want to use them for. Glad you found them useful
