Originally I drew this temple to try out two things: a sort of inner yard and thick castle walls. The inner yard as such is not a problem, but the walls. Oh, the walls...

I don’t know why, but I find it somehow difficult to draw the thick walls like in medieval castles or keeps. It’s like I always leave too little room either for the rooms or the walls. We even visited a local medieval castle nearby and I got a better understanding of how the structures were built, but I still can't get it right. I think I need to get some more practice on a graph paper Any tips?

One day I will master the mystical technique of the Drawing of Walls. One day...
