The Cartographers’ Guild is a forum created by and for map makers and aficionados, a place where every aspect of cartography can be admired, examined, learned, and discussed. Our membership consists of professional designers and artists, hobbyists, and amateurs—all are welcome to join and participate in the quest for cartographic skill and knowledge.

Although we specialize in maps of fictional realms, as commonly used in both novels and games (both tabletop and role-playing), many Guild members are also proficient in historical and contemporary maps. Likewise, we specialize in computer-assisted cartography (such as with GIMP, Adobe apps, Campaign Cartographer, Dundjinni, etc.), although many members here also have interest in maps drafted by hand.

Biography:: Not a lot to say, really. I have no artistic skills and wish to develop them. I'm an amatuer (So far unpublished) writer, although I've been working to improve and develop my own style for ten years.

My world building tends to be ambitious, although I tend not to build overly large worlds full of clutter. My life, as it were, is a sad sap story full of hard work and various unpleasantries, a tale of which I shall not burden friendly visitors with.

Continuing with the personal stuff - I enjoy baking, cooking, educating myself, learning new skills, puns, being a hopelessly single romantic, cartoons, writing, reading, calisthenics, HEMA, the study of combat and the science behind weaponry and form, and marathons of music by Queen. That's it.

Occupation:: Taking care of elderly parents, whatever boring work I can convince myself to do because cash.

Software Used:: Sadly, only GIMP for now. I am poor, bare with me. I'll get tools eventually.
