Hi
I just found this interesting site:
http://www.zombienirvana.com/
It is a video podcast on drawing fantasy maps using Photoshop.

Yep, it's palehorse! a CG regular! But thanks for the reminder, Anna - I've just switched over to PS from PSP and want to see his tutorials.
Yes, Anna: Butch Curry (aka, Palehorse) is a member here. We posted him as a recommended resource before (see here).
An all around nice guy, too. I'm glad you're getting some good help from his resources!

Thanks for the mention Anna, and to the rest of you for the shout-outs.
Now that my health - and my voice! - are almost back to 100%, I should be able to record a new episode soon. My son and I have both been recovering from that nasty cold that's been making the rounds; the poor little guy had it even worse than I did!
I need to scan the final of that hand-drawn map I started awhile back. It's been done for some time now, I just haven't gotten 'round to doing one last scan.
Get well soon, Butch and make more tutorials! I've been working through them and they are invaluable as an aid to learning how to use photoshop. Hope your little one recovers soon too!
That podcast (and the others) were great, it has inspired me to start learning Photoshop as a cartographer's tool.... so not only were they great information, but inspiring to me as well.. keep up the good work and get better soon...
eat lots of oranges... i dunno, but it works for me
Is it me... or does Butch Curry sound a lot like Quentin Tarantino? At least to me...
Speaking as a Malaysian, I can tell you that my Curries are so Butch they'd put hairs on your chest!
Seriously though I've been working through Butch's video tutorials and they are incredibly helpful - especially the use of layer masks and Butch's fully flexible fotoshop filosophy!
oh ya, I can't get enough.. we need a hundred more podcasts all about maps and photoshop
