Default Granbay - Capital City of Whalen in Aelorn

My third map is now in the books. Tried some new things, and mostly they were successful.

I might have reconsidered how I did the trees if I'd known how long they would take. Oh, well, they were worth it. I'm pleased with them.

The fourth is on the way - a commission from my 9yo daughter.

I like the way the mountains hang over the border. Neat!

Thank you. They were originally going to be cropped with the border. But I since the illustrated title was going to spill over, I thought I would let them do likewise. It was a gamble, but I think it paid off.

Yeah, this is terrific, especially with all those trees!

I noticed that the castle at Granbay has more of a 2D look to it, maybe because the perspective is a front elevation looking up. That doesn't quite match with the more top-down isometric style for the other villages. But that's the only critique I have.

I like your compass and lettering a lot.

A totally legit statement on Granbay Castle. I shall take note to retain consistency in the next map. Thank you for the input.
