    Map First Cartographer's Guild Map

    Salutations;

    This is my first posting of a project. I've made this map for a close friend's child who also enjoys maps and stories such as the chronicles of Narnia. The photo is right before I tea stained the paper, but is otherwise complete (the photo I took after staining cut off part of the corner). I have to give credit to someone else for the wolf head in the top left corner (in silver) as that is not my original work, however, when I went to find who made it I could not find the same image. Using the wolf as a template I created the horse, the ibex (goat), and the raven (on the door). The topo map is a real place that holds some significance to the family and I used a hiking map to produce it. The idea is for the kiddos to figure out where the place is and then to go ''look for the door'' in the location in the topo map to find entry to the lands featured in the main portion.

    Nice, I like a real treasure map. We had treasure maps as a challenge once but we ought to do one where the treasure is real - even if its a nice view or a great tree or ruined church or something.
