Thread: Fiorina

    Default Fiorina

This is revision *** (i lost count) of my first map for the homebrew campaign setting i am working on.
My setting will have a shattered world with large landmasses floating around in a mist instead of oceans.

any critique will be appreciated, particularly suggestions for better names for some of the features.

Looks good, though that outlined font is really hard to read it looks blurry for some reason. Perhaps if you filled it with white rather than clear it'd be easier?

Edit: There are some rivers breaking rules. Most of them in fact.

This is looking good. I like your mountains and forests. Simple yet effective. I agree with Falconius though, the outline font is really hard to read.

Something else to be aware of is that there is a perspective shift in the way you have drawn your mountains and your forests. The Forests are top-down and the mountains are from a tilted view. I had the same issue in one of my maps, and got some nice feedback on it. Maybe it'll help you as well. You can check it out here: Link

    thanks
yeah i was gonna add trunks to the trees but i haven't found a way to do it yet.
my campaign setting will have 30 landmasses of which this is one of the smallest, and with this first one i am, in part, trying to establish
a simple but nice looking way of doing it to keep the workload reasonable.

ill post more about it once i can post more freely. (i presume mod confirmation stops at some point?)
