    Default Yewingfirn

Trying out my first tablet pen for a Photoshop map. Not much of an artist, but here's a first attempt at a hand-drawn look. All the line art (except the shield, which I started before I bought the pen, and the road) is by hand. Coloring was the product of various layerings.

This is a small region of a friend's campaign world for a Dungeons and Dragons campaign series our group has been running for the last 10 years or so

Yewingfirn is the westernmost region (called a Shield, hence the shield) of the nation of Praethon, a small landlocked country between two massive continental rival powers. Because of it's location, Yewingfirn has often been the site of great conflict.

Along with the map, I am attaching the whiteboard drawing our DM made several years ago while the group was in the area.

Not too shabby for someone new to digital hand-drawn art. Nice work.

I agree with arsheesh, this is good whether you consider yourself an artist of not.
My first maps looked way worst.

Cool map! The forests actually look quite nice.
This is certainly better than my first attempt to use a drawing tablet.
