Thread: Terra Ravenos

    Default Terra Ravenos

    Hey guild
It is been a while since my last regional map in the style I started my map adventure few years ago.
I thought it's about time to draw something in full colour as I used to.

You're coloring and shading is some of my favorite. Amazing work. I think a tiny bit of shading at the base of the forest would help ground it to the map a bit more, but that's really minor.

I love these regional maps. Would be careful walking/boating to the east of Lothrinch Island though (top right). Those mountains might topple over at any second!

    Thank you.
Yeap Ystragdol looks like a nice and remote place to stay

It seems lately I am always forgetting things. I remembered to add the shadow beneath the forests just before placing labels and after i did that... Well next time
    Thanks you

That may be the case. Our fantasy worlds are always full of perilous places
    Thank you.

Thank you very much Julien. I guess adding a bit more volume to them make them pop put on the map. Having all forests flat is uninteresting to me, that is why I always try to draw a few *on hills* or uneven terrain.

Nice work! I'm not the biggest fan of the font choice for the regions and the like, but other than that looks great.

    I like your map.

I especially like how you labeled it. I would want to get that kind of theme for my continent maps, but alas, the more saturated textured themes makes it complicated. Anyway, lovely map.
