    Post RSS Feed

Hi all. If you've looked in the announcements forum wheneve rits glowing you probably noticed that a while ago I added an RSS feed to the website. I was wondering if anyone was using it...and if you were using it, please let me know if its acceptable since I've never done an RSS feed before.

Please only vote if you are actually using the RSS feed.

For those that don't know...you can use the URL of the RSS Feed to add cartographers guild thread updates/posts to any RSS feed reader...to include portal sites and customizable homepages such as my.yahoo and google homepage. If you ever have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.

Web site owners can also syndicate this website with theirs via the RSS feed.

I have it on my google homepage now. Very Cool. Makes keeping up to date very easy.

yup yup...I've noticed sometimes it doesn't update immediately, but its reasonably fast. I think thats a limitation of google though not the rss feed.

I've been using it since you put it up. The only suggestion would be to increase the number of items it posts. It works great though.

How many items is it posting for you? I'm seeing 15 when I subscribe to it in firefox's live bookmarks.

Via Google, I can go up to 9 which is actually a decent number actually. I hadn't noticed that it could be changed until I just looked again . So actually I think I'm good to go.

Good to know yer all set then.

One thing I've noticed is that I think sometimes retrieval of RSS info IF You're currently cookied to the site will cause the "unread threads" icon to not show up, because in the process of rss retrieval, since you were cookied, it treated it as a visit...I'll have to investigate further.

I haven't seen that occur for me, but I'll keep it in mind.
