Hey, folks!

Today I'm releasing another massive set of free brushes named and based on the 17th-century engravings of Georgio Widman from 1680. It's a big set (over 500 brushes) which should allow for a ton of variance and nuance—something I find essential when making my own maps. The brushes are designed for Photoshop, but I include a transparent PNG as well, so you can use it with other programs. (Note: the brushes are black, and when viewed in Chrome it'll look broken, it's not.)

You can read more about the set and download it over on my blog.

I've attached a sample map below showing the brushes in use. Widman is free to use for personal or commercial work. Hopefully, you find them inspiring. Have fun with 'em!
