Fantastic idea, and your design is looking really good. And for what it's worth, while they may not be technically correct, I do like your seat cushions. They caught my eye immediately, and I thought they were very well done. But I do understand the desire to keep things consistent.

Engineering drawings are dry and boring.

An artist's interpretation is much more visually appealing.

Customers may buy the product based on the artist's drawing.
But you can't build the product from that drawing.

Still torn on the seat cushions, but I spent some time cleaning up and making various fixes. I'm trying to create a passable line drawing of the engine, since that's the most recognizable part of the Hogwart's Express, but I still struggle with drawing sometimes and this is one of those times.

Oops, and I realized the lav doors have partially disappeared. I will fix that now, while I'm thinking about it.

Oops, uploaded the wrong version. I don't want to muck about with editing attachments because I never seem to get it right, so here's a fresh post.

Thanks, all! I was off work today and decided I wanted a "real map" to go along with my carriage plans, and I wanted to hint at a story so I put together a note, ticket, and Polaroid. I also finally took a photo of my backyard table to use as a desk.

Apologies, UK folks, I've taken many liberties with your fine rail system.

    A fine story and presentation.

Minor question: it looks like the top carriage does not have a connecting door in the right end. Was that intentional?

To be authentic, the story needs to describe an hour delay because railtrack decided to park a rail grinder at Peterborough station.
My new Deviant-thing. I finally caved.
