Default Oct/Nov '19 Lite Challenge: Palm Tree Paradise

Alright, Cheesy Ass title, but it looks so calm and peaceful,(so not me, lol.)

I really just wanted to get something up this month for the challenge, my lava textures never quite materialized in time last month.

So, I like the basic idea of this bookmark so far, but its not where I want it to be. Not fully laying out right for my eyes, like I need to move it down and have the palm tree section be the bottom or grounding point of the scene. I want work on my palm trees a little bit, color or saturation, and shadows. Bring in some bigger ferns beneath them, add a Skelton or 2 on the rocks and in the sea, broken treasure chest maybe. Its just too peaceful now.

Welcome to the challenge Kier! I think you might be right about moving the palm trees a little lower.
The water looks great. Nothing wrong with a little peace & quiet.

Not a whole lot of an update. Worked on the ferns beneath the tree and brought in some more variety into the undergrowth. Still planning on dropping the map down a little so the palm trees make the base, but might be hard to pull off seamlessly as I will have to add something to the top, lol. But plugging away between projects.

I understand visually why you want to have the palm trees at the base, but I love the water / underwater rocks at the bottom of the map. That's the spot I want to go snorkeling in.

I'm enjoying the tropical view here.
(6" of fresh snow on the ground this morning, and it's still October!)

Rotating the bookmark 180 degrees or flipping it vertically puts some land at the bottom.
(I like the way it feels better.)

A quick update. Added a couple skeletons buried in the sea, and some of my old skeletal sharks from a few years back. Logo at bottom.
Still feel I am missing something towards the top now, but will keep plugging away at it.

Looks great, but I may have to rethink my idea of going swimming there!
