    Default Map of Mulukhuetziz

Originally started this map for the June/July lite challenge: Crazy Rivers, but had to cancel it due to RL events and finish it later.
My second traditional map after a long period of working digitally.
Wanted to give this map an Inca/Aztec feeling and I think that worked out quite allright
I did drop the Crazy Rivers theme in the end though!

    Some more info:
    - 250 grms A3 Laser/Inkjet paper from Clairalfa (hotpressed)
    - Sakura Pigma Microns
    - Polychromos colored pencils
    - Roughly 120 hours of work

WOW ! The classic mapping elements are gorgeously drawn and the jungle feel is tangible. Great job on the ornaments too. You did an excellent job through and through.

Maybe they can still be crazy rivers. Hallucinogenic compounds from jungle herbs and amphibians are carried into the rivers by rainwater and absorbed by those who drink from the river. The natives use the river water in moderation as part of their religious ceremonies, but foreign explorers have been known to overdose and drive themselves into fits of chemically-inspired madness.

    Or not, of course.

Splendid work, both on the map & the frame.
