Just exquisite. I love the borders.
Yes, you should post these exquisite maps much more often lol.
I just can't believe it's that, that long since the last time I posted a map here. My lazyness and busy schedule are both to blame, I'm afraid, but let's try to catch up with this novel map I drew as a commission for author Veronika Weinseis.
This is the traditional novel map, in my probably favorite style to draw.
Hope you'll enjoy it !
Usual things-to-know :
- Roughly 8x9 inches,
- Hand drawn in Photoshop CC2020 using a Wacom Cintiq pro 16,
- Commission for "Nachtkönig", by Veronika Weinseis.

Beautiful, as always, Beee. Love the detail in the city icons, and the mountains positively pop off the page!

The map detailing is really good (particularly with how many different environments there seems to be). As the others have stated though, your border is amazing as well.
I love your maps... There is so much to learn from them... Your borders are something special... Where do you take inspiration for them?
Sublime as usual. Not much more to say beyond that, you know how much I like your work!
Thanks TTD ! I'll definitely do my best to post more often ^^
Aaah, I'm afraid what I know and don't know about my work would give you nightmares. That's why kind comments like yours are so welcome
Glad you enjoy them, Wminish ! ^^
Thanks so much, ChickPea !! This touch of light on the mountains is always my favorite detail ^^
Thanks Arimel ! Biomes are always fun to draw and diversify ^^
Aww, thanks Andarr ! I love to imagine my ornamental borders along the whole process of a project. I collect every tiny detail the client gives me about his/her world, and try to put them together in something consistent. I also must add I always have around me reference books of historical. Renaissance, gothic and neo-gothic, rococco, celtic, antique, slavic, oriental styles... I love to compare them and learn how everyone is linked to others
Thanks once again, Kell' ! Always a pleasure to see you love my work... even if light and bright !
gorgeous... i especially love how the compass directions are incorporated into the frame...
