I salute thee in return Diamond! I think this takes as much patience as a 'normal' map but it sure feels like more

It's so much fun reading everyone has a different reference game in mind

Made some good progress today, although it might look like just a little:

It's like watching a screen load, which kind of goes along with the whole vibe.

Started with the border for a change of scenery and yes...Zelda has a clear influence on this map
Titel has been pixeled and AA'd by hand with the Legend of Zelda font as reference.
To save on filesize the WIP has been scaled to 50%.

A little more work on the border and a little more work on the map itself, just a smal section left and then it's time for details

This is looking really, really good! That is a lot of detail. Those waterfalls don't exactly fit the requirements of physics though (as compared to the flat water all around them. )

Thanks Arimel, glad you like it
I think the waterfalls aren’t the only thing that evade those requirements

Finally started working on this month's theme: The Dragontemple.
Had to change the background (from firelands red to 'jungle-ish' brown) to make it a better match....no problem since I allready had my doubts about the red
