It doesn't necessarily need texturing on the grass because it is a more cartoony map. I'm not sure about it, go with what you like..

The shading for the buildings is very vague now, you can hardly notice it.

Not sure what you want with the bridge, but wouldn't there be some shadows you could see through the hole?

The little leaf really adds flavour to it, love it. It's a bit hard to notice those tiny apples, I'd say the bigger ones for that reason.

I think that less precise line on the lower part of the path looks much better than the big bold line.
    Can't wait to see more!

Smallish update as this map nears the end. This was primarily a study-piece, getting me acquainted with a few styles. It's also increased my confidence with my forms, Photoshop, and what I can only can tiny-squilly-lines-that-look-good-from-far-away that are characteristic of some cartographer's maps here I hope to emulate.

Hello, I am agreeing with Josiah, that the textures do not need to be too much detailed for this map. The only improvement that I would suggest is perhaps more sharper building shadows, other than that, its good as it stands.

Glad to see someone else doing Small Locales...
These days it always seems as if everyone is doing "huge" cities..

Personally I liked the Cartoon versions better..To me these are the type of Maps that a PC would get.

But your heading in a different direction.
I imagine your Group appreciates any Map you provide.

I love the cartoon styles the most. They have a certain kind of charm that just makes me smile whenever I see them so this is just fantastic in my eyes. My drawing skills would look great on a cave wall somewhere but that's about it
