Well, I think we won't need to add a compass on the global GuildCity map ! Nicely done, Robbie.
Do the administratives are living in the houses near the good old'hall?

Oh Robbie! I hope you get well soon - poor thing!

The map is looking great. This is going to be the big, bright, shiny jewel of our city.

ok, one more draft...not much has changed really. I removed the road per Pixie's proposal and added the roundabout and a couple of buildings. I fooled around with using shift and canvas rotation per snodsy's suggestion on a few buildings (i have a fancy tablet pc now, better take advantage). and i ditched the crappy parchment texture. Will probably have some more time this week now that I'm feeling better.

Glad to hear you're on the mend

I see you've put a few more buildings in already.

    Looking good

What kind of look are you going for in the end - photorealistic? Something else?

In the end I think I'd like to make it hand drawn, which means I'll probably free hand over some of the rendered elements (the guild hall). But I don't really have a style of my own so I'm not really sure where it'll end up. I'm used to using city designer as part of cc3 but I wanted to see if I had it in me to do the buildings by hand and of course they still end up looking like hand drawn cd3 buildings anyways. Lol

I had no idea that you had ever used CC3!

Well, I learn something new every day at the Guild

I think your buildings look far more like the PS mappers' buildings at this stage than CD3 buildings, and I am sure you will achieve a style that is all your own in time

Yeah, this website started as an extension of the campaign Cartographers mailing list. There was no cc forum at the time so I made one.

Hey Robbie, can you let me know where the overlook to the power plant is located along the border? I'll bring the trees down at that point.

Good to know you're better and plotting some buildings in the southern area. I am just about to post a latest WIP of my section, which may be of use to maintain a certain "trend" in terms of density and layout (or not, just saying...)
