There's some nice tuts floating around that shows you how to create really nice planets. They're often for PS, but translating to PSP shouldn't be a prob.
Nice job with the starmaps!
Let's se if the astro-types lets them pass
Here are a few WIP maps for my planned Traveller Campaign
Map 1: Community Sector Map for a RPG board (Pretty much DOA now)
Map 2: Sector Map for my Sol centric Traveller Campaign (based on the Usborn map of local stars)
Map 3: Test map for creating a system level map
The first three were created in Autorealm with backgrounds pulled from various NASA websites.
Map 4: Attempt to create an earth-like planet in Paint Shop Pro X2 using the cloud render filter.

Wow great stuff. Shame your just a few weeks too late to enter our little monthly challenge. Last month was a star chart. Here were the entries.

Thanks, these are basically preliminary maps to try and figure out what can be done with the programs I have on hand. My next project is going to be to try and make a surface map.
I downloaded the Flaming Pear 30 day trial of Lunar Cell and with just a few clicks it really blows away the planets I have made so far.
You should check out Ascension's planet making tutorial for PS, definitely worth a look.

In case you hadn't stumbled on it yet, https://www.maptoglobe.com/# to take your 2d map and wrap it on a globe.
Two corrections:
"Epsilon Eridani"
"Bernard's Star"
