    Map The Lands of Zaenora

Hi cartographers, here is my first try with an almost B/W map.
    Zaenora final 1.jpg

Inspiration was taken from "Hyboria" by - Max - http://www.cartographersguild.com/sh...786#post257786

It was all done in Gimp, no tablet and I enjoyed so much figuring out all the names and locations that I think I'll use the map for a novel of mine .
Zaenora is finished but could surely be improved so....critiques, suggestions, opinions are welcome!!!

Cradits to @Quabbe for the mountains brushes, to @SchwarzKreuz for the trees and @BohemianResources for the nautical symbols.
Map border from arsheesh 's awesome tutorial.

    Bye

Wow, that is a super awesome map...especially if this is your first try. Have some Rep.!

One critique: Is it just me or are some symbols sharper defined then others (looking at the map zoomed in)?! And i am not talking about symbols that are under labels. For example some mountains are sharper than others and same goes for trees. It is a little distracting.

Lol thanks for the super awesome , I'm very happy that you like it.
Clearly your eyes are better than mine cos I've not seen this till you make me notice it....bravo!!
I used many brushes for the mountains and I should have given a closer look at them. (I really need a tablet !)
On my next map I'll try to pay more attention .
