Default September 2014 Challenge: Sci Fi Floor Tiles

I'd like to try my luck here as well, demonstrating once more (as I did in the current Lite Challenge) the meaning of "Power" in "PowerPoint".

I'm going for something simple here: Floor tiles for a sci fi map of .. well .. anything with a floor, basically.

I have started with a simple metal texture and added some bolts to it so it looks like a plate on the floor. This "basic" tile is not going to be part of the submission. It is just the basis you will find in the following tiles:

(Trying to figure out now, how to present 6 tile in one image properly )

    Looking good!
Post each tile separately, and then when you have all 6, make a floor out of them to use the WIP thing on.

    Thanks, Bogie

I went for a somewhat "hulky" battlemap:

    Nope

This is the layout of the first Mission ("Suicide Mission") in the boardgame Space Hulk.
In the boardgame you are entering the "Sin Of Damnation" in order to wipe it clear from alien scum.

Nice game, alas no longer available (or at least not for a decent price).

But "Doom" was a good guess: both games feature the claustrophobic atmosphere, each on ist own way

I'm still trying to figure out what the big purple "I" represents
