It looks like I might run out of time for the challenge as I have to work 12 hour days for the rest of this week but I'll do my best. But this next challenge I'll start on time.

Default I'm trying to get more detail and Color into the village.

Been playing around with the borders have not found anything I like yet. So I will definitely be fixing that. About how the roads have been drawn are they working or do I need to adjusting them? I am a bit frustrated with the over all look but i cant point to what I dislike about it.

What jumps out at me is the dark brown under the fields. See how it looks if that were a couple shades lighter.

How do you do frames or borders in Photoshop if his questions breaking the rules don't answer?

There are several methods of making borders, probably one of the easiest is:
Draw a frame with the rectangular marquee tool. (Best on a new layer)
If you wanna fine-tune it go to: Select > Transform selection
Once you are satisfied go to: Select > Modify > Border and define the width of your border
Last step: Hit "Shift + F5" and now you have the choice of filling the border with all kinds of colors and patterns....

Now you have still a few days to work on your lovely map and you better put some effort in!
    Good luck!
