Thanks a lot you guys, glad you like them. The next update is another classic one: "The Barbarian Banner" with lots of bones and stuff (again only one version for now...)

In this one, i tried to do a "wave-effect" with shadows/lights on the banner. I'm quite happy with it and think about applying something similar to the first two too. What do you think?

    Cheers,

The wave effect could be appropriate for any of them, but it seems more so for the original two than the ganfalon. Nice job with the tribal banner!

Love the new one too. If you do the wave effect on the first 2, be subtle with it because they are supported on the top and a side.

Uhm, wow! These are coming along amazingly. I know it isn't strictly a mapping use, but you could print these on cardstock and cut them out to attach to miniatures for a battle game. Just sayin'

    cheers,

@ Coriolis & Bogie: Thank you for the feedback! I guess i'll apply those waves only slightly to the first two. It's nice to have a rather flat one with the gonfalon.

@ Meshon: Thanks, glad you like them. I thought about miniature war games more than once while doing them... In fact, i had to discipline myself not to start gluing toothpicks and other stuff together .

Instead of tweaking the first two banners, i couldn't resist doing another one (... it's pretty addictive to make these little elements in gimp ^^):

I thought about a banner for an undead realm and came up with a scythe as a device to hang the banner on... This is the basic version that could also fuction as a banner for a peasant army. Maybe i'll add some more stuff to it (chains, skulls, lanterns, hourglasses, or just the good old dirt ) so it gets more obvious...

EDIT: I think the next one will be a sci-fi banner...

    Cheers,
    AL

The scythe one is my favorite so far. I like the ragged look.

Wow, these look really good. I think my favorite has to be the Barbarian Banner (or "the one with the bones"), though you kept getting more and more creative as you went.
The best maps are the ones we like the most after looking at the longest.
