Bloodstone Lands (WIP)

A friend is working on a new Forgotten Realms game, so I got asked to try my hand at putting together a map for it.

Thoughts?

I love it! You don't often see a hex map with this amount of beautiful detail behind it. Most hex maps are clumsy at best, but this one's gorgeous. The only thing I'm not sure about I like is the clouds/icecaps. The fact that I don't know what they are is one reason, but they also are rather featureless. They take the rest of the map down with them, and that's a shame! Because I really really like it.

Now, this doesn't mean you map is doomed. Some small changes might get you far! If they're clouds, they might benefit from a little fluffiness (and a certain transparency at places). If they're icecaps or glaciers, you might wanna add some extra texture, like moraine streaks and some cracks and fissures.

But even without these adaptations I still think the map is great, especially for a hex. Beautifully done, Leland!

Is there a size limit to the post or the like? I had to go back in and put the links in different places.

Not sure what happened! Might be a matter of size indeed. You might try uploading a smaller version, and if that works, you can replace that by a slight larger one etc until you run into trouble again.
