Thanks everyone that voted on my map! Quite exciting challage and great entries!

I voted for Revells map because I thought it was a really good one! The other were great as well but had some small things that I did not like (Max's map was great, for example, but was too crowded for my taste).

i wish I wish i could make a hand drawn map again for a competition (I don't think I can since I now have very bad sight - but I guess i could try if I really wanted).

Congratulations to Carnifex. As soon as I get back from vacation (Wednesday), your Amazon gift card will be on its way. Just PM me the email address where you'd like it sent.

As for Gudern: I find it ironic that nearly every one of your critiques was subjective. You just don't seem to be able to comprehend that no one is beholden to what your preferred method of mapping is. Even more infuriating are your comments about threads not being 'informative' enough, or not generating Gudern-approved emotions, or being too short (WTF?). I really want to get into a long rant here. I also really want to put you on my ignore list. However, those options would just contribute to the thread being the incorrect length or having unapproved responses or blah blah blah. So instead I'll just end by saying thanks for your time and have a great day.

I don't recall anyone saying that anyone should be beholden to anyone else's standards or criteria. As far as I know, there are no seriously objective standards for art of any sort. My sense of this discussion is to find out what subjective standards others are employing when they vote, nothing more, nothing less.

He's all but saying that; don't be obtuse. Also, I personally am done talking about this ****. It's ridiculous. In fact, it's descended into sheer farce.

Carnifex has kindly asked that instead of receiving an Amazon gift card, the amount ($20US) go towards the Guild as a monetary contribution instead. So hooray! for Carnifex, and I'll send that 20 bucks Robbie's way as soon as I get home from vacation.
