Thanks Diamond. What you are looking at is actually a land half faded. I've got the opacity set to 50% so I can see the trace map and where the mountains should go, as well as the rivers. When I took the map out for the second picture, I didn't bring the opacity of the land back to normal, so it looks a little weird because you can actually see through the land and slightly see the ocean underneath.

I will probably do some sort of fill, or maybe some trees to cover it or maybe both. I'll have to experiment and see which one I like better.

So this is the land with the opacity gone, and some mountainous fill put under the mountains and hills. Do you think it blends much better?

I've added a few more details to the land. Hopefully you all can see them.

I didn't like the yellow lettering as it was too hard to see, and I also got rid of the glow on the letters. Hopefully people can read it now.

It is easier to see now, though Southvale could maybe use a bit of stroke.
You could try using the grey of the mountains as the stroke color - it makes the letters stand out but doesn't make the stroke stand out.

Stroke? Could you explain what you mean please?

Are you in GIMP or PS?
Stroke is the outline around the letters.
If you're in GIMP, I'm not sure how I would give any instruction for that. Hmmm...
    Someone will know.

If you're using CC3 to do this, then I'm not sure how to explain it.
I guess you were using a yellow outline around your letters before.
On most it looks better without the outline. But on Southvale it could use the outline - and my suggestion was to use a color for that outline that matched the grey of your mountains.
