Thanks Ilanthar. Indeed, I added Ayers Rock in the north but I promise, there won't be any kangaroos, just a quantum rhino I definitely have to write this story ...

I know, my stories tend to get elaborate... that's the advantage, and curse, of actually being a writer! lol
Like a thief in the night
    she comes with no form
    yet tranquility proceeds
    the accursed storm...

Nice work on this map, Thomray. Waiting to see your jungles. Your mountains are awesome and well drawn.

The colored volcano looks great, can't wait till everything is colored in and finished.

Thanks Warlin and Bogie. I did some work on the map but, concerning the coloring, for me, it's a real pain in the donkey. I suck at coloring as you cas see on the piece below. Feel free to tell me what you think. As it is, I'm seriously considering a black and white map.

Do not hesitate to tell it's ugly.

Not Ugly, Not Bad at all. The only thing I don't care for is the solid green line around the mid point of the volcano that I assume represents the top of the tree line. I think the green forest around the mountains looks very good.

I was using the word ugly to describe the color of the terrain. If I hide the layer, the map is suddenly less agressive. Coloring the terrain is difficult for me. I used color jittered grunge brushes, tried little very low opacity stokes, tried numerous low opacity large strokes, nothings seems to work for me. I guess I'll have to work harder.

About the green jagged line on the volcano, it's of course temporary, I'll have to work on this.

Not much has been achieved since last time so I guess you can count me out for this one as it won't be finished in time (life's time consuming sometimes).

Anyways, it was fun and here's the last version. Maybe I'll finish it later but that's not sure.

Ok, I couldn't resist, it felt way too empty and I felt bad quitting like that so I'm gonna try. Here are some hills and a little more shadows.
