    Map The Mirror Straights

One of my attempts at a fantasy map- loosely in the style of and inspired by Tolkein's Middle Earth.

Very nice map. Linework is excellent, labels are well done.

The only thing I would criticize is the map itself, the paper. I think you overdid the "worn" state a little. It seems a little artificial in the way all four sides are torn, still preserving a rectangular shape, and managing to not touch any of the labels.

Definitely agree about the linework, especially in your text which looks lovely. The whole thing is beautifully laid out!

I don't like the way you've drawn Veil Lake, and perhaps the repeating lines at the coast are a little too regular and could be more broken up, as in both cases, they can easily be mistaken for contour lines. Otherwise, lovely piece and I don't think the paper look you have is particularly artificial.

Yeah I know what you mean about the sea. I was basing it off a map of middle earth where Tolkein uses the same effect for the land-locked seas,, but it does look a bit too 'dense' I'll agree.

    Very Tolkienesque indeed. Great work.
