    It's coming along nicely!

I like the colors, and your mountains look fantastic! What software are you working with?

And me oh my, that is a lot of trees

Hello ! Tanks for your comment and for the rep !

Years ago, I was drawing by hand, Then with CC3, and now, I'm trying my first map on Photoshop...
I just want to try to draw everything "by myself "... But it's true that it takes a lot of time, especially for The trees, as you notice ;-)

Yeah, I know what you mean. It just feels so much more like your very own creation, when you actually do the whole thing yourself, yes?

Are you using a tablet, by the way?

You're right, it's rewarding... but it takes so much longer ! I just installed CC3+ and spent about 15 minutes on it : in this laps of time, I could do maybe as much work as 1 day of drawing everything by hand on photoshop .. :-P
But I wanted to make at least one map "by hand" although to try my tablet (Wacom Intuos).. and I like it a lot : you really have the feeling to draw as if it was just pen & paper, but you have so much more .. So : it takes time, but it's a lot of pleasure too !
The difficulty for me is I can only draw a day by week, on the weekends... too much time at work the other days. I'm really looking forward for my hollydays which are coming in two weeks ! Lots of maping to come !
    Have a nice day !

Does it matter what software you use, as long as it turns out the way that you want it to?

Why not use both - each to the best advantage, whether that be to save time, or to say that you drew it yourself - and make something that could never have been done in just one or the other? Something that is both original and completely unique?

That's absolutely right, but just for this map, I want to draw all by myself.
But I already have tons of idea for the next ones... CC3+ and Photoshop... I'm looking forward !

    That's the spirit

After all there's nothing stopping you from creating your very own symbol set in Photoshop, and using the png images to make symbols of your own work to use in CC3+

    Latest WIP :

End of the northern forest... I would love to say that I've finished with the trees, but I can't...
A little change in the coast line (due to the story)
    And it snowed...

... I hope I can go faster now...

.... Oh... My... And here I thought I had alot of trees on my maps... That is I-M-P-R-E-S-S-I-V-E!!! And I kinda like the coastline but I will tell you something I was told. The coast should maybe have a thicker line and the waves (the double line) would be perfect afterwards.
We all wish to create, but do we really create?
What we draw and what we write is part of us.
No we do not create, we simply discover who we are.
