It's fine to redirect roads within your section, so long as the location of road, as it transits another section remains the same.
Or, if you talk with your neighbor and decide to move a road location... that can work too.

how do we determine the exact topology to match your neighbors
ie mine has a steep hill type thingn on it, how high is it?
and question about roads on the edge of the plot, since i have no neighbors can i change those?
