The part I feel it's missing is the one I circled. Maybe there's something wrong with the edge the arrow is pointing to, maybe I'm wrong.

Yeah, I was referring to the general shape of the icon. It looks better when the icon is roughly shaped like a triangle. Again, as I said before, I'm not sure if what I'm saying is actually true.

I used a round brush for the icons. I draw straight lines (horizantal and vertical) by holding the SHIFT key. Diagonal lines by clicking where I want the line to start, then holding the SHIFT key and clicking where I want the to end. This draws a straight line between those two points. Those lines may look a little digital so sometimes I go over them again, without using the SHIFT key, to make it look more handdrawn.

Thomrey, i dont think anything is missing, but the perspective there is not good and that may be the reason something looks wrong. Well it is wrong

Thanks Daniel. So to avoid 'digital' view you go over them again... i remember doing that long time ago but i wasn't successful. Maybe i need to practice more.

And sorry Josiah VE for hijacking your thread . I hope we both learned new things.

I find that city icons look best when the general silhouette is roughly the shape of an isometrically drawn house. I don't know if there is any 'science' concerning this subject, but it's just something I noticed.

These are some icons I have drawn. The red lines show what I mean with the silhouette.

    Perhaps that might be helpful.

Here's a sample icon I was able to make with a bit of practice.

Very good Looks very much like the CC3 Mike Schley ones. (that's meant as a compliment, btw)

It's good Josiah. I think, as a general small icon for bigger map will do just fine.

Looks great, Josiah! I'd like to see more in this style to complement this one.
