Best Tutorial for GIMP?

I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this. But is there a go to tutorial for battle mapping in GIMP?

I found one on here but it was for an older version of gimps and his custom textures didn't work.

Hey Val, this is the John, the FB admin for the Guild that you were talking to.
