Hi, first time poster, so pardon me if I don't provide the sort of detail you usually need.

I'm writing a roleplaying web supplement based in medieval Cornwall as part of a contest similar to NaNoWriMo. It's not a commercial project . I've written it and will release it for free regardless. If people want to give me tips on Patreon, that's fine, but it's not a commercial thing.
I need to know how much a map for it would cost.

[Compulsory] Commission

Paid? I've marked it Paid? rather than Paid because if I can't afford it, I won't go forward with the map and I think I should warn people of that before they take the effort to quote.)

Subject

It's for an Ars Magica web supplement. Atlas Games has given me written permission to do this.

My rough for it is on Google Maps at https://www.google.com/maps/d/edit?m...8999999455&z=9

Sorry for the horrible URL. If possible I'd like the following as a smaller map, or an insert into the blank bits of the map above.
https://www.google.com/maps/d/edit?m...4000000895&z=5

Style

I'm looking for something that -doesn't- look like a medieval map. That's been the standard way of drawing Ars maps, and the fanzines still use it, but for this I'm using modern fonts, and copyright clear photographs to make it look more like a modern travel magazine.

I'm happy with black and white, but if colour's easier for the complicated icons, that's fine.
I need
  • the marked places
  • either labels or numbers that have an explanation on the map for each place
  • The Cornish coastline and the Scilly Islands
  • the river Tamar

Quality & Size: I'm not a professional, so I can't really answer this except to say that at the end of this I assume it is going to be a web-distributed pdf, A4 sized, for people to view online or in print.

Time Constraints

The product is not commercial, so I don't have a delivery time. I'd like to finish it sooner rather than later, but I'm fine with it taking time. I've written, but am still editing, the text.

Copyright

I will have the right to use the image for commercial purposes, the artist will have the right to exhibit the image as part of his portfolio but not to exploit it for commercial gain.

Frankly, I can't offer more. The inherent IP belongs to Atlas Games. I have written permission to make this thing, but I can't offer derived IP.
