To be fair, this "Mythic Sea" map contains much more mystery than clarification. The main land mass is easily recognizable, but the rivers flow in strange directions, the mountain ranges seem unusually tall, and none of the marked locations seem to match any known sites in the present age. Was this the fanciful invention of a deranged navigator? Or does this map represent the world as it really was in a bygone era?
