    Thank you, Joseph

Another update coming soon. Just a few scaling decisions to be made about how big/small to draw the mountains etc

Man, I want that for my maps :O
I have wanted to mess with FT for years, but just never got a hold of it.
Maybe I should. That seems like such fun.

FT3 exports the images. You just have to import them to GIMP as layers in a single image, and export the gif from GIMP.

I did a short tut on how to do it here:

    https://www.cartographersguild.com/s...ad.php?t=37068

I've since discovered that if you import any equirectangular map image into FT3 as an overlay on any world, you can use it (in a very unofficial way) to make a spin sequence of the image you import.

I expect you can use the free version, but the resolution would be really very poor.

With the purchased version of FT3 you can make really huge spin sequences showing loooooads of detail, but a gif that size would never have uploaded here

"And now here is the news."

That's so much like the BBC globe that used to come on before the News

This is some great experimenting Mouse. Nothing has blown up so far

    I know!

    Bit disappointing really, isn't it.

But if I don't tell anyone I was actually trying to make fireworks it'll be ok - you'll see

    ...

I've hit a bit of a hitch right now. Can't seem to get the mountains to be reasonably small but still recognisable as mountains.

I may be some time with that update I promised earlier...

    Aw, thank you guys

Voolf - I'm not sure where this is going, but we'll find out in the end. I keep trying to stick to a nice conventional style, but it seems to be sliding off to one side and mutating into something else. I'll show people what I mean when I've done a bit more than just half a square inch

Tony and Lukc - thank you for the encouragement
