Thread: Heart of Nature

    Default Heart of Nature

I'll consider this one finished because I think if I continue tweaking it I'll make it worse haha.

    I used the following resources:
Textures by Elvanos from this thread: https://www.cartographersguild.com/s...ad.php?t=42367
Some elements by Bogie from this thread: https://www.cartographersguild.com/s...ad.php?t=16821
Some elements by DeathAspargus from this link: https://www.deviantart.com/darthaspa...geon-448247835
Some elements by DeathAspargus from this link: https://www.deviantart.com/darthaspa...rest-443533886
Aged paper by Brian Van Hunsel from this link: https://www.deviantart.com/brian-van...ck-1-371248782
Special thanks for RenflowerGrapx and XCali for teaching me how to do the elevations.

In order to get the shapes done I used the Sadeeran's guide combined with circles.

The idea of this cave is to be a big dungeon where the center of it guards something powerful with a lot of treasures.

I'm not good with borders and texts, so please forgive me, I also didn't liked 100% how the desert and water bodies ended up, but hey, next map I'll try to get better.

That's one awesome dungeon right there. Great colors and great design, just well done. The coloring on the walls could maybe be a bit more subtle, or maybe the texture on it a tad less strong. Not a huge issue, however. I'd love to explore this massive cave!

Thanks, I like doing dungeons, I have some pretty ideas for the next one.

Glad to see you powered through and finished this one, Amanda! I personally like the colors but I agree with Kell that they may be a bit too intense, but it certainly still fits with your scheme. Wonderful work! I'd rep you, but I've been spreading it around a bit too much, next time!

Well done. It could even be "A Dungeon World" with the circular shape and varying terrains!

BTW: I agree with your comments in the WIP thread, Dungeon maps are easier in many respects to Regional maps though both done well look really good. That's why I focus on them as well

Liking this map... feels incredibly claustrophobic. Very vivid colours, which could be used to indicate the climates in the different section.

I can see this working very well as a roll20 map.
